Stones, stones and more stones!

Both Hudson and I have stone issues lately...

For Hudson, it's picking up the little stones that daddy laid by our slate sidewalk and throwing them. (1) this makes daddy angry when he mows the lawn and (2) mommy gets angry because he's getting dirty and trying to eat them (yes, I know he's a boy!). Tonight we went to get ice cream with John, Jillian and Brooke and under the pavillion it is all stones. It was way too much for Hudson to pass up so he squirmed to get down and stupid me, I let him! Dirty he was and the throwing began. I don't know what is up with this new facination but I'm ready for it to be over with! lol. I know...I know!! HE'S A BOY!!! :0)

Now for my stone issues. I found out on Wednesday that I have an 8mm Kidney Stone in my kidney that is just sitting there for the time being. If at anytime it decides to move and attempt to go down my urethra, it will get stuck and cause an obstruction. Not to mention SEVERE pain and nausea for me. I know that I am not to be worried about anythign because the Lord has it all in His hands so I really am trying my best to trust in Him. The only thing I can't stop worrying about is the fact that at any split second I could be in a whole lot of pain. I'm scared. On the 25th I go back to see the actual urologist who is now out on maternity leave to come up with a plan. The nurse practitioner that I saw said sometimes they just watch them but I dont think they will since I can't pass this one on my own and it's got to come out sometime. The options: Surgically remove it or Laser it and break it up and force me to pass the smaller stones. I personally opt for the surgery. No matter what I am going to thank the Lord for every second that I'm not in pain instead of worrying when I will be. He will come through for me. I know it!

So there's our stone story. I will keep everyone updated...prayers are always welcome!

Goodnight...

My precious 1 year old...

Having a toddler instead of a baby is SOOOO much more fun than I expected!! His personality just makes me smile when I look at him and I just can't help but think that he looks just like his momma!!! :0) Hudson has been doing some really cute things lately....whenever we ask him to make the "funny face" he scrunches up his lips and nose and it's soo cute! Everyone around just dies and of course he eats up the attention. Speaking of attention, I took him to cheerleading practice with me tonight. Ohh boy did he love having 20 girls go gaga over him!! He would just run around chasing his basketball and throw it at them and chase it. He definitely is a walking pro now a days. He has mastered some other skills too like getting off mommy and daddy's bed and the couch, etc., he can step up small steps without getting down to his knees first and crawling up, he knows what a cow says, what a horsey says, what a bee says, he has been putting two words together too. Tonight he said "bye bye wa wa" when we were letting the water out of the bathtub. It was so cute. I just can't wait to see his personality develop each day. It's just when you think there isn't one thing they could do that you wouldn't expect...and then...another surprise! At this age the development is just astounding. God is good!! I praise Him for us having a walking talking breathing healthy baby. I am not worthy...and that's why God is sooo good all the time!

These next few days are busy ones. On Wednesday I have to see a urologist for the results of a CT Scan that they had to perform because I had blood in my urine last week. Yeah...that was scary. When I was pregnant for Hudson my urine looked like cranberry juice at times. They said I passed some stones then (luckily I had no pain). This time they suspect something similar. I guess I will know soon and I will keep you all posted. After my appointment Hudson has his 1 year appointment. His Dr. was away last week so we had to wait until this week. More shots....ughh....

I better get to bed soon....goodnight everyone!! John, Jillian and Brooke~ we're glad you had a good time and that you made it home safely!! Talk to you soon!

HUDSON'S 1ST BIRTHDAY!!

This is Hudson's Fish Cake Mommy made!!! Yum Yum!

Here are some of the children playing!! What fun!

Here we are blowing out the candle! YAY!

We celebrated Hudson's birthday yesterday and the party went very well. We have lots of friends and family come and it really was a lot of fun. I may have went overboard with the "fish" theme but everytime it's not my fault. It was just an easy theme!!

After blowing out his birthday candle, Hudson decided to DEVOUR a cup cake!! And I mean devour!! He loved it! We have a few sitting on the counter in the kitchen left over and he keeps asking for it. I'm not quite sure how to tell him he was only allowed because it was his birthday! lol. He wouldn't understand.

How does it feel having a one year old? I'm not quite sure...not really any different, but I know for sure that it just gets better from here. His personality is blossoming and it is just so wonderful. I love babies and having a newborn, but I also love being able to interact and play with Hudson. It is just so different. The feelings of a parent are undescribable...it's just amazing. I really think that God put that feeling inside of us so that we would understand the way that He feels toward us. Actually you can probably multiply that feeling times 100,000!

We went to the lake today and took Hudson on the boat for the first time. He really loved it except for the stupid life jacket that was choking him! lol. It was too funny!! Andy is working for my dad's catering business tonight and tomorrow so I am alone. I think I'm going to go get my shower and cuddle up in bed (with myself...haha) and watch TV. Sounds good!! I'm out!
